Tim Zimmerman and The King’s Brass will appear in concert Sunday, June 5, 2011, 4 p.m. at Olivet Nazarene University’s Betty and Kenneth Hawkins Centennial Chapel. Three trumpets, three trombones, a tuba, percussion and keyboards blend together to create innovative worship music that all generations will enjoy. This is a free event.
Dr. Ovid Young — organist and artist in residence at Olivet — will be a featured performer, playing Olivet’s magnificent new Ruffatti organ.
Professional musicians from across the country began playing as The King’s Brass three decades ago. Their desire is to use the instruments they love to lead others in praise and worship.
This year, the group introduced their 15th recording, “Praise & Celebration,” on the Summit Records label. For Christmas 2011, the “Joy” Christmas concert with Diane Bish will showcase their talents at the Tri-Lakes Center in Branson, Mo.
Secular and sacred music critics alike applaud the concerts of The King’s Brass, calling them “superb in every way,” “innovative,” “well-played,” “truly, an unforgettable experience!”
