Testimonials
Written by Jeff Parker

“I absolutely love it … its sound is grand … Voiced as it is now, it reminds me of a fine old Schlicker. The console itself is fabulous, very comfortable, and the quality is top notch. I am very pleased! I am a believer, and I can't wait to hear it with pipes!”

"It was an absolutely wonderful concert...

The organ sounded tremendous in the hall.

The concert would not have been possible without your support.  I cannot thank you enough."

Written by Phil Hubble, Organist, Monona Oaks Community Church, Madison, WI

The one word summary of Monona Oaks Community Church's association with Rodgers and Steve Smith is “WOW!” At each step along the way, they have been consummate professionals, yet very approachable. Rodgers is fortunate to have such an outstanding representative in this part of the country.

It was a joy to sit down at the console and work through the music for the next Sunday's communion service. I was able to use both the organ and the MIDI to set up different registrations for each verse of the hymns, for the offertory, and for communion - something I could not have done with the (old organ).

Over the last several decades, the congregation's worship style evolved from traditional to a blended approach. The pastor questioned whether it would even be necessary to replace their old organ. Why not just purchase a keyboard and use its organ sounds? I made a strong case for the new instrument's capabilities for playing traditional and contemporary music, thus enabling us to preserve and extend our successful ‘blended worship' format. The 788 is easy to play, and the MX-200 is easy to use. What a thrill to sit at the console and hear such glorious sounds filling our building! I look forward to training our keyboardists to use the 788 and MX-200 with the praise teams.

“We have a huge (Skinner) Pipe Organ that was desperately in need of repair.  We needed a completely new console and wanted to add excellent digital samples to compliment what we have.  After researching Rodgers’ and Steve Smith’s reputation in the Chicago area, it became apparent that working with him was clearly the best choice.  You can’t go wrong with Steve Smith & Rodgers.  We have been so happy that we chose to work with them.  The end result has been fantastic and our congregation regularly raves about the organ.”

“We looked only at Rodgers Organs because of my good experiences with them at other churches over the last 20 years – I knew (Rodgers) was the best…   In 1985, I looked at Allen and Rodgers.  Even then, Rodgers offered stop-by-stop and note-by-note voicing which produced a superior sound…  (Rodgers) gives you a degree of flexibility that is unmatched.  I would highly recommend (Triune Music), they are excellent to work with in every way….  Our Pastor & Music Director went to hear the Rodgers Organ at Rockefeller Chapel… we felt that Rodgers does the best job of replicating great pipe organ sound.”

After looking at Allen, Johannus, Rodgers & Casavant “our committee chose Rodgers because they had the BEST SOUND quality with the ability to expand with pipes in the future.  You’d have to look long and hard to find someone better to deal with than Steve Smith and the Rodgers People.  We had some members that were anti-digital, however within 3 months (of the installation) all of them loved (the Rodgers) and mentioned that they couldn’t tell the difference…. We chose a Rodgers 968… we are extremely pleased.  I am amazed by the number of people that after two years still hunt me down to tell me how much the organ adds to our worship.”

“The overall feeling is that the organ is remarkably versatile, can play anything, and the tone palette that the instrument offers is extensive. This organ can play anything from early Baroque to contemporary music.  The choruses are complete on each manual and the scaling matches the room beautifully.  I would recommend Rodgers (Triune Music) without reservation....

Our Rodgers sounds like ONE complete organ.  In my experience that was uncommon with hybrid organs (but not here).  It is a thrill to play and I’ve played many incredible instruments earlier in my life, both as an organist and as a pipe voicer for the Wicks Organ Company…. I might add that the gimmick of having several sampled organs to choose from is a turn off to most real organists. There is no need for such a gimmick with Rodgers.  They are capable of playing literature from any period.  On our instrument, anything is possible.”

“We purchased a custom Rodgers 957 after serious consideration of three organ companies (Rodgers, Wicks & Allen who refused to give us a bid).  We had a 1966 Rodgers Organ and their service has been excellent for decades….  We would highly recommend Rodgers and Triune Music…We would advise committees to VISIT a LOT of churches to hear the exact size and kind of instrument you are considering (especially in a similar room and acoustic). That’s how we ended up with a Rodgers – they SOUNDED BEST when listening to the same size & price instruments from each builder on the SAME day … (we listened to several dozen instruments on several days over several months).  Ironically the Allen Dealer ignored our request to show us comparable organs in actual church settings. They hoped we would make a decision by just visiting their showroom…still we made appointments with their owners to see and hear comparable organs on our own as a group.”

…"I was so proud of my decision to go with your company - the end result is fabulous… You were a big part of our decision to go with Rodgers - your honesty, ethics, knowledge of the organ and your talent went a long way in selling your instrument. I was really excited that what I call 'pipe organ purists' thought the (dedication) concert was great and the instrument wonderful. It lends even more credence to our decision."

"…a note of thanks for your wonderful work on our Jubilee Mass this past (rather soggy) Saturday in Soldier Field. I knew that you would bring us a superior instrument… (and) that you would have the capability to work seamlessly with …JAM Productions to give us the best-sounding amplification in the enormous stadium. Your attention to the small things made an extremely complicated day that much more manageable. Bravo for your excellent work! "

"We selected Rodgers because of the versatility of the instrument.… We also selected Rodgers because you … had a clear plan for the (organ's) audio system. Your competitors didn't have a plan to overcome the acoustic challenges in our worship space. Your design has exceeded all of my expectations."

"Certainly, your company builds and crafts superb instruments that are a pleasure to play and to hear. Nonetheless, it is the remarkable blend of competence, skill, artistry, and human warmth that you bring to your representation, which makes your clients (past and present) recommend Rodgers enthusiastically…. May you continue to enjoy hard-earned and well-deserved success."

"It was indeed a delight to work with a firm that exemplified the highest level of professionalism. You are to be commended for your impeccable and precise attention to the smallest detail of installation. I do not believe we could be more satisfied with the decision we made to purchase a Rodgers organ."

Written by Stanley O. Carey, Minister of Music West Ridge UMC
" The pleasure and satisfaction I have received as church organist is nearly impossible to describe. The change that has taken place in our church as a result of this purchase has been outstanding! Things just don't seem as impossible to achieve as they once did. Small churches always seem to have financial problems. But we only have to point to this new organ to realize that most anything is possible."

" I love a pipe organ, but this comes so close it almost fools the ear. It is just great."

"The 785 sounds and acts like pipes!   We built a 'pipe' chamber to house the speaker system and have been asked why the 'pipes' are not exposed."

Written by Karen Straseske, Organist, Salem Lutheran Church
"I continue to be thrilled by the sounds that come out of it ….You have inspired me to greater musical heights. I think I have practiced more in the last six weeks than the previous six years put together. It is a privilege to play and listen to the spectacular sounds it produces making music for the Lord."

"I am writing this unsolicited letter to let you know how excited I am about the Rodgers Harpsichord....The Rodgers instrument has greatly enhanced our regular worship services, weddings, (etc.)....This instrument has been used by the Kishwaukee Symphony and the Northern Illinois Children's chorus with many positive comments....Thank you for your outstanding work."

"I commend you for your patience in helping us understand what it takes to shop, compare, and select...instruments. Your installation was thoroughly professional as was the follow up work. I appreciate your attention to detail and your willingness to teach our organist. I am very pleased with the result."

"Our congregation, our religion and our physical worship space supports individual growth and change. We felt the superior technology of the Rodgers 805 could take us into the 21st century, as Frank Lloyd Wright would have envisioned his "Beautiful Room" to be used. Steve, you showed utmost respect and care for our unique and priceless architectural space. Your deep concern for the aesthetics of the space was evident throughout the process and during the installation. Your incredible technical expertise fashioned a unique speaker design which uses both direct and indirect sound to reflect sound off of the hard surfaces in our room. thus optimizing the stereo imaging.... We have fooled several pipe organ aficionados, one of which was even an organ builder. They thought they were hearing pipes! People are unaware that we have an digital electronic instrument."

Written by Gerald Edmonds, Minister of Music, Moody Church
"Thank you for your excellent work in providing us an organ at Moody Church. I trust that the months ahead will be rewarding… as this organ provides music in a church that is literally known and heard around the world. We thank you for the quality of service you have given us. It was nice to have at least one thing we didn't have to be concerned about during this time of restoration from the fire."

"Thank you for providing the beautiful three manual, 111 rank Rodgers Organ for the Illinois Valley Symphony Orchestra Concert paying tribute to the late organist, Virgil Fox. The instrument was a joy to perform on and made the Symphonie Concertante of Jongen performance exciting and alive!"
